The Custom Seafood facility was a purpose designed facility for the clients business and operational requirements, exporting and distributing both live and frozen Seafood locally and internationally. The development consisted of a 2 Storey office block, Cold room and freezer storage, live fish holding area, processing room, mezzanine floor storage, packing area and a loading and unloading area.

CarterHood Architects were involved with the original design and construction of the ARB development back in 2003. The building recently under went a 10 year make over with minor refurbishment works to the showroom, warehouses and offices.

The Roxby Downs Community Library consisted of an infill project brief. Transforming the former forecourt area between the existing cultural and sporting precinct, linking facility operations and opening up shared resources for centre management. The Roxby Down Library is of an open plan layout acting as a central connection between 4 community services. The open plan was achievable by an irregular free spanning steel structure. The internal fit out draws from a natural pallet with colour expression through the furniture and library book displays.

Located in Mt Cotton, “Bodega House” embraces indulgence and quality within the modestly sized house.  The front facade asserts an architectural edge, using clean lines and contrast in materials.

A proposal has been approved for a material change of use for a mixed use development application on a 5.561 ha site, located on Dreamworld Parkway, Helensvale.

The basis of this proposal is to create an urban centre, to promote and fulfil a social development need and service to the local community that will support and sustain its living requirements.

This proposed mixed use precinct creates an opportunity for an integrated development comprising of residential, commercial, retail and public use. With the sites strong connection to the Coomera River and canal water frontage, the lifestyle and public amenity is an integral part of the identity and sense of place in which this proposal aims to develop and create.

This development aims to contribute to the community and create a sustainable living hub for the internal inhabitants and provide a social node for the external neighbouring communities.

A landmark Paddington building located adjacent Suncorp stadium under went a full building refurbishment.

CarterHood Architects designed and co-ordinated works with the builder to achieve a very unique outcome for the very much altered and neglected post war building.

The Rainbow Beach Aquatic Centre is situated in the coastal town of Rainbow Beach, located in Queensland’s South East corner between Fraser Island and Noosa.

With growing numbers of residents and visitors each year, the development intends to offer the Fraser Coast and surrounding regions with an aquatic centre comprising both sporting and recreational facilities.

The overall facility masterplan consists of:

CarterHood Architects designed this temporary learn to swim building for the Community of Roxby Downs.

The Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre (GCAC) is located in Moranbah, a mining town in Queensland.  Moranbah is on the Peak Downs Highway between Mackay and Clermont, in the ISAAC Region.

The aquatic facility delivers the Moranbah and wider community with an outdoor recreational hub. A location for public social interaction of all ages, leisure and educational programmes, injury rehabilitation, aquatic recreation and sporting development.

The design of several large free spanning tension fabric shade sails over the existing leisure pools. Incorporating existing and new structural framed members.
