The Outdoor 50m pool Grandstand has a seating capacity of 438 people including 4 disabled viewing areas.

The design was to highlight the spectators viewing experience of the 50m pool, whilst maintaining good solar protection, cross flow ventilation and acoustic control.

The architectural lines of the sail structure visually connect the grandstand to the TRAC facility building and compliment the neighbouring building’s character.

The Multi Storey Car Park is located adjacent to the Tweed Reqional Aquatic Centre in Murwillumbah, northern NSW.

The three storey, open deck car park has a vehicle parking capacity of 276 cars. Each level of the car park was designed to service three different access needs to the Murwillumbah community. Ground floor car parking services directly to Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre, the first floor car park services for visitors to the townships main street, and the third floor provides long term parking for the local commercial business.

The design takes advantage of the existing sloping terrain to achieve connection to the road networks and pedestrian flow access, eliminating internal ramp requirements and maximising vehicle parking spaces. The perimeter balustrade and incorporated vehicle impact barrier adds clean lines and visual interest to the form, the barrier design incorporates shadow casting balustrade post to break up the visual massing and adding movement to the long runs of the perimeter structure during the day.
