The existing 1962 post war house underwent a complete site orientated redesign to maximise the existing dwellings internal and external living potential without a complete rebuild. The design required modifications in response to climatic conditions, to open up key axial connections flowing from internal to external living spaces.

The architecture of the internal spaces where to be an escape from the outside world, using simple materials with an old school flavour. The internal design palette utilised and expressed the potential finishing character of basic raw materials supported with architectural detail. The flouting and folding internal lines, through open corners and the use of transparent walls, create an extension of space for this modest post war house layout.
